Directs and coordinates administrative activities of customs collection district and negotiates with interested parties to enforce federal customs laws and collections: Prepares, reviews, and submits reports of district's activities to customs office and other government agencies. Represents Bureau of Customs in meetings with individuals, representatives of private industry, government agencies, and in court. Recommends and approves personnel appointments, promotions, transfers, and reassignments within district. Directs submission of customs receipts and preparation of accounts as required by law and procedures of Bureau.
