TITLE(s): COATING OPERATOR (grain-feed mills)

Tends coating and drying equipment that coats cereal products, such as flakes or puffed grain, with syrup, vitamin mixture, or other liquid: Lights gas burners or turns steam valve to attain specified temperature in drier and syrup storage tank. Starts revolving drum and conveyors that feed cereal product into drum and through drier. Pumps liquid from storage tank to perforated spraying pipe in drum. Adjusts speed of conveyor and drum to coat cereal to specified thickness, indicated by feel and color inspection.
