Tends screening and blending machine that removes rocks and twigs from coarse coke and mixes it with fine-ground coke to produce blended mix used to pack carbon electrodes in graphite furnaces: Shovels or dumps coarse coke onto vibrating screens. Starts screens that separate rocks, twigs, and other materials from coke. Starts conveyors that carry sifted coke from screening area and fine-ground coke from storage bins to top of blending tanks and dumps them into tanks. Starts blender blades that mix coke. Turns valves to release blended mix from blending tanks into storage tanks for removal to graphite furnaces.
