Assists FORMING-MACHINE UPKEEP MECHANIC (glass mfg.) in setting up and repairing bottle-forming machines and lubricates feeder chutes and molds: Removes and replaces glass-forming molds and components and adjusts shears and orifice rings (furnace channel opening), according to instructions, using handtools. Swabs or brushes feeder chutes and molds with oil or compound to prevent molten glass from sticking. Lubricates machine parts, using oilcan. Transfers molds to and from mold repair shop, using handtruck. Performs other duties as described under HELPER (any industry) Master Title.
