Tends machine that applies finish to felt or fabrics to increase thickness and bulk of material: Places roll of material in feed holder of machine, threads end through rollers, and attaches material to rewind spindle, or sews end of material to leader in machine. Fills trough with specified sizing and adjusts doctor or fills spray gun tank with specified sizing. Rotates air valve knob to adjust spray of size on fabric. Turns knob to admit steam to drying rolls, positions lever to set speed of machine, and starts machine. May turn knobs to regulate temperature and blowers in drying oven. May be designated according to fabric sized as Burlap-Sizing-Machine Operator (tex. prod., nec).
