Tends hydraulic-pressing machine that smooths wrinkles from folded knitted garments: Opens valves to admit steam to pressing plate. Lays folded garments in tray. Slides tray under plate and onto top of piston of machine. Shifts lever to raise piston and force tray against steam-heated plate to press garments. Pulls tray from under steam plate and removes garments after piston automatically lowers.
