Tends hydraulic band-seating machine that presses brass or copper rifling bands around shells (projectile bodies): Starts motor. Places shell on machine base, and slides band over nose of shell, pushing or hammering band toward band-groove. Pushes lever to converge retractable jaws around band to force band into groove. Releases lever and turns shell slightly, repeating pressing operation until band is seated. Removes shell from machine.
