TITLE(s): SUPERVISOR, CIGAR MAKING, HAND (tobacco)

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in inspecting wrappers, rolling bunches, and wrapping bunches with wrapper leaves to produce handmade cigars. Confers with other department supervisors to coordinate flow of filler, binder, and wrapper tobacco into department. Reads production schedule to determine style, length, diameter, and color wrapper required for daily cigar production. Measures length, diameter, and weight of cigars, using gauge and scales, and examines wrapper leaves and bundles to ensure company standards are met. Trains new workers and maintains production records. Performs other duties as described under SUPERVISOR (any industry) Master Title.
