Guides drill pipe and casing into shotholes. Loads shotholes with explosives. Runs water or pours sand into shotholes to tamp charge. Washes printed seismograph records with solutions. Repairs automotive and prospecting equipment. May be designated according to specific duty performed as Prospecting-Driller Helper (petrol. & gas); Shooter Helper, Seismograph (petrol. & gas).
