TITLE(s): DREDGE MATE (water trans.) Supervises and coordinates activities of crew aboard dredge (vessel equipped with machinery to excavate under water) used in building of structures in harbors, estuaries, straits, sounds, rivers, lakes, bays, and oceans: Examines dredging gear and lifesaving equipment, and orders crew to repair or replace defective gear and equipment.
